Change & engage: pulse of PCMS’ future
PCMS invests heavily in several areas such as our product, roadmap and development, but we also invest a lot in our people! We have a fantastic, customer-centric culture at PCMS and decided it was time to have a global celebration of all of our recent efforts at offsite meetings in the UK and the US. This was an opportunity for all PCMS employees from around the globe to make connections, learn about company direction and the future of VISION Commerce Suite. It was also a chance to share ideas, ask questions and so much more–you’d be surprised that some of our best innovations come into existence when we take a chance to communicate away from our normal work setting.
As PCMS continues to grow, the event will take place annually and will be even more useful, rewarding and fun!
The events pulsated with energy from the moment attendees arrived and were greeted with banners and screens announcing the “Change And Engage” theme. Between both events, PCMS brought together more 500 employees. The UK event took place at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, UK whilst the US event was held at the Main Event in West Chester, OH. The events featured presentations by executives and management, demos of new projects, food and networking and even activities like bowling.
So what was the point of pulling everyone together at these events? According to PCMS’ Chief Product Officer Martyn Osborne, it was all about making sure that all PCMS employees understand where the company and our VISION Commerce Suite of products are headed. It’s about being cognisant of how the PCMS team can come together to do even bigger and better things than it ever has before.
Flannery Higgins who leads Global Marketing and helped plan the programmes, noted that part of the purpose of the events was to help update the vision for PCMS with the employees. “One thing we wanted was for people who attended Change And Engage to feel like they are part of a new startup and that they are part of the future of PCMS.”
All in all, Change And Engage was a major success and planning has already begun for next year.
A sampling for post-event feedback included comments like:
